Ok, I called him and asked about the pictures on the forum and he looked at them. He said that when you ordered the supercharger that you needed it for the coming weekend or you would not buy it I think and that was when they were working on the 2nd model and apparently you got what was in the pictures. That's all I got and he said that they are all cut to the supercharger and I think he said that the DASC has 1 hole for the ports to their 3.5 .

This is the info that I got and like I said, I'm not trying to get on your bad side and I'm not on their side, I just wanted to know, inform, and show to everyone else here what I know.
Will, that manilfold is ****. you know and I know it.

I know why the shifted the manifold forward(it's for pully clearance I think) but still 3.5 ports vs 1 big port...that you can P&P and I would say the box manifold of the DASC is better.

I am going to roll by TitanMotorsports here in Orlando and see if they can make a tubular manifold for a M62 eaton system.

then when I buy my DASC for 3300 with what discount i can scrounge i can replace 1 of 2 things I don't like about it, and if IAAS.com builds the intercooler for it, I can get the 2nd thing I don't like fixed as well.

to be perfectly honest....after what Joe from KO did to L8, I wouldnt trust a gosh darn word he says.

regardless of the excuse of having to have it to him after a week, look at that throttle body kit....that is garbage and it didnt have to be on a doorstep in a week!

after these ****ty products, why would anyone still trust this goon with car parts?

also, im no expert on forced induction, but why would someone want 3.5 holes...why not go with...say...four holes?

exactly.

that was cause they didn't measure clearance to begin with. Sloppy on the shops part

FYI, I got offered a S/C for 1555(When they thought I had a M44) then when I told them it was a M42 it went to 2000 and was going to powered by the power steering belt...but still 2055$ for the kit L8 got, wouldn't have been worth it. I'd spend the extra $$ and get a complete and tested system like the DA.

I agree it looks like ****, but he said it is strong. Anyways if I end up getting the k.o. supercharger, I am getting the first model with the regular manifold. The only reason he stopped selling that one was because everyone who bought it complained on the install.

I only care about my refund at this point.
He had 6 weeks to send it, that isn't a rush!

I think we can all agree that KO performance is a VERY, VERY, VERY shady buisness. Along with broken promises, false advertising, horrible crafting of products, horrific product design, very delayed shipping time, and the worst buisness sense of any company I have ever seen........my conclusion of them is that they are by far, the bottom of the barrel scam "starving" artist. They have no idea of what good buisness sense is, and frankly I'm very surprised that they are still in buisness! I hope somebody would report them to the better buisness bereau. Honestly I wouldn't even be surprised if all those customer feedback comments ( on their website) were just made up by them. I am soo sorry to hear and see of the P'sOS that he sent to those of you who were brave enough to bite the bullet and cut a deal with this guy. There is no excuse for what they have done, and I hope that it turns out better for you guys in the end.

he also said the gen1 model was only done on cars that came to their shop to be installed...meaning he never shipped any out to DIY customers, meaning joe has NO credibility...honestly how can you trust this guy?

do you beleive everything joe says?

L8 that is HARSH. You knew you were taking a risk buying this first. If I was local and knew the mechanicals, I might check it out too. Frankly I think it's ill advised but nothing other than what you did- a risk. What are you worried about- you seemed confident enough to spend 2G's on your AMEX card before? Obviously you knew the risk. Just follow thru and dispute the charge and stop trippin out (which is exactly how your last posts sound BTW).

On a constructive note, I was very surprised to see KO as a sponsor on Bimmerforums last night. I think the Admins over there would like to see this thread and know your experiences. For that matter, they have a vendor feedback forum there too. Has anyone checke dit out?

This will all work out, L8. Be calm and persistent.

I would like to post a link to this thread (or pics of KO's work) on other automotive forums to help get the word out. L8, do you think posting on other forums would affect your refund in any way?

Like I said before, I can host the pictures if anyone (L8 or Steven) is worried about bandwidth. I have 80gig of bandwidth available.

Do you wanna pay their "20% restock fee"? Then sit back and enjoy the show. You got free admission.
