Default best spark plugs?

Just wondering what the best spark plugs to use are. I have a 1995 318ti -- looking to change the spark plugs out in the next couple of days. Bosch?? NGK??

Thanks

NGK are better than bosch. NGKs website will tell you which ones for your car. You can also search these forums for info on which plugs are upgrades.

NGK come stock. Some people have reported troubles with Bosch, but they worked fine for me in the past.

Frankly, I'm more willing to trust the engineers in Munich. Next set is NGK.

NGK recommends #BKR6EK as the standard replacement.
They have several different types, is there any better than this?

I have 4 prong NGK and I do not have a rough idle. They actually helped calm my idle down.

I set my father's 95 club sport up set of NGK BKR6EQUP (4 prong platinum) plugs, along with a set of the BMW performance plug wires and the thing is really very smooth.

The BKR6EQUP plugs are OEM plugs that BMW uses in many models including the E39 M5.

Thanks Bimmerbum, those are the plugs that I am running, couldn't remember the part no. off the top of my head. They are $6-7 each from NGK as opposed to $20 each from BMW.

What is the NGK part number of the plugs you installed? M42 or M44?

i have a 98 sport, so as far as i know its a m44 b/c of the OBD II.

i cant find the part number for the plugs. The NGK website offers no info (part no.) for the 4-prong laser plt.
