Default WTB - ABS Sensors

Anybody parting out that will make me a deal on a set of known good ABS sensors? I have a 1995 they need to fit that model

I have the ABS light on and want to do some swapping to try and find the bad one.

Thanks!

Dave

I'm only finding 90 dollar sensors... Better than 150 but I hate to buy 3 to fix hte problem if only 1 is bad.

I was thinking they were all different, but It just occurred to me that if I had 1 with the longest wire I could use it as the test one, then only have to spend real money on the one that's bad?

As far as I know there is no code that you can read outside the dealer that will tell which sensor is bad..? any body know for sure? Any ABS system diag tricks most appreciated!

Are you sure you're not talking about brake pad wear sensors? ABS sensors are totally different and cost about 100-150 bucks each.

Dave, like you said, I'd just find one with the longest wire and use it to troubleshoot. Only problem is that I've yet to see a front sensor come out in one piece. They usually fuse themselves to the spindle(kingpin) and fall apart when you try to remove them. If you find a way to remove them without damaging them, LMK I'm very interested. The rears are much easier.

BTW the link "**************" that was posted does have them the cheapest I've seen, 79 to 89 bucks depending on front or rear.

Arg. I just dont feel like taking anything apart this week...

never had a problem removing them. Just unscrew the allen and slowly move them back it back and forth until it pops loose. I do not see why they would break apart unless they were not functional to begin with. I will have a whole set of used ones available next week.

I may give it a try tomorrow. I'm hoping I find damage to one or the wire that's obvious so I don't have to play musical chairs swapping them around.

I also have not found anyway to test them searching around. Youd think its just a hall effect sensor. Should be a resistance or something to measure...
