Great condition, if I didn't love the hatchback so much, that would be my next choice. Quote: Originally Posted by branden Sweet ride. I didn't want to take a chance on inheriting someone elses mess. The dealership knew that they could sell the car the same day it hit the lot, so I was only able to negotiate a couple hundred $ off there price. I did get some BMW shirts, a full synthetic oil change, 4 wheel alignment, rear shock mounts and the side skirt gasket replaced with the deal. I paid $19,200 for it, which is blue book in excellent condition, this might actually be better than excellent condition, it's new condition. Also the Dinan mods retail for over $4k, so I took that into consideration. I haven't had a single regret about buying the car, it's exactly what I wanted and that's ultimately all the matters, right? __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 03-27-2007, 09:13 PM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Lincoln Park Capitol Hill, Washington DC Posts: 741 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT Thanks, I'm keeping the Ti. I just bought my wife a Mini a few months ago, in hoping that would be the driving-around car..... Nice car, Bro......and keep us posted on the performance, and I'm curious about the Gas Mileage. __________________ It's always a great day to be underwater and play with the fish.....preserve our oceans and reefs" Fariz 1997 318ti, Hellrot (Bright Red), Dinan Stage 2 Chip 16x7 OEM sport Wheels/X-Brace/Custom Strut Brace/Cold Air Intake/M-Tec Steering Wheel/Koni Adjustable FrontShocks/ Bilstein Sport Rear Shocks /H&R Sport Springs/Custom fabricated strut tower brace/Rear Strut brace, Stromung Exhaust Future Mods: E46 17" wheels or Kosei K-1 17x8.5s | | | 03-27-2007, 09:14 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Manassas, VA Posts: 4,129 | Wow, I didn't realize it was worth that much. It's all supply and demand, and the demand for that car would be high. Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT I paid blue book value for it. It wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. But then again, you never know how its been treated. | It's worth it to spend more money on something that you know has been respected and well maintained. This is especially true when purchasing a car with a motor like the s52. It's not exactly a cheap motor to replace. My ultimate goal is to go forced induction with this car (duh!). I wanted to start with the best example of an m3 I could find. I found it. If I spend another $8k on this m3 and get the TT stage 2 turbo kit I'll be pushing 400hp+ in a beautiful car. Find me something equivalent or better than a 400+hp e36 m3 for under $28k, please. __________________ '99 Dinan M3 | | | 03-27-2007, 10:42 PM | #42 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2005 Location: çî†ÿ øf åNgëL§, CA Posts: 5,314 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT It's worth it to spend more money on something that you know has been respected and well maintained. Im saying ive seen little cheaper on bfc. Ive seen SC M3s for maybe around the price you got yours for but i aint saying those are 100% healthy. btw, this isnt an argument | | | 03-27-2007, 10:52 PM | #43 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: Los Alamos, NM Posts: 344 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996Bmw318TI Im not crapping on the thread but ive seen M's sell for alot cheaper. Also, It has dinan mods out the wazoo, so this car was worth every penny. Records are worth their weight in cash, also the knowledge that it wasn't some punk that pinned the throttle while it was cold every day. Regular oil changes and maintenance keep costs down in the long run, where long run is 100k+ miles. Good paint is also a plus, as resprays aren't cheap, especially when done right. So what you're paying for is peace of mind. With any car, you're going to pay either in repairs or up-front purchase price. Dusten basically made off with a new car with 80k miles for less than an actual new E36 M3. __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 03-28-2007, 03:31 PM | #45 | doesn't care about you.
