The location is in Orlando, FL. and it's a really great event. Last year we had about 150 BMW's plus some Mini's, and a few vendors like AA, Umnitza, KO, and 2 more that I can't remember their names, so it's basically a smaller version of Bimmerfest. I know this year it will be bigger and I think they are inviting other german cars, but am not 100% for sure. I'm letting everyone in the south east know ahead of time if you guys are interested in coming down to Florida for this event. Last year I think Gooten was the farthest person that came and the other ti's were from Florida. So if you guys are interested in coming and want to help the ti's have a bigger showing and impress the other e36's that were alive and a big group it will be in early to mid August. | | | 06-27-2006, 02:31 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Are they doing it at racerock again this year? I may have to bring out the Ti and the wagon. Represent the hatchback bimmers. | | | 06-27-2006, 03:10 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | We did it at the Mercado last year in International Drive. It might be at the same place year or somewhere else in that area and yeah bring the ti to help make our group bigger. mohaughn: What part of Florida are u coming from? | | | 06-27-2006, 03:36 AM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Orlando in the Maitland area.. | | | 06-27-2006, 04:25 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | No, by Universal area | | | 06-27-2006, 06:14 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | My sister is in that area....I am not (damn 3000 miles) | | | 06-27-2006, 01:52 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Quote: Originally Posted by Viper3812 No, by Universal area | Viper- You asked me where I was coming from. So you should know where Universal Studios and International Drive is at (where all the tourists go). I'm over in East Orlando by UCF. Are you in cfbmw? Are you going to Hot Impor Nights with us? | | | 06-27-2006, 04:17 PM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Yeah.. I've lived in Orlando for awhile so I know where Universal is... I've read through the cfbmw forums, but not a member. I'll be at Sebring for summerfest when HIN is going on... I used to go to a lot of car shows when I was more involved in USAC and IASCA competitions. So I'm kind of burnt out on them unless it is specifically BMW related. In this area HIN seems to be dominated by the ricers, so it's not really my thing. | | | 06-27-2006, 04:27 PM | #10 | Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2004 Location: Florida Posts: 1,595 | As of right now there are 8 of us who are showing our cars at HIN including me. Baybimmers, cfbmw, and FloridaGerman are going to the show, so it should be a good amount of bmw's that will be showing. Well I guess I'll see u at Summerblaze or at any of the cfbmw meets. | | | 06-27-2006, 04:49 PM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Florida Posts: 2,525 | Your car looks great so it is a good representation for the Ti's. Mine still has the grey bottom panels so it doesn't look as good as yours. Plus with the larger wheels and no suspension mods I have the ugly gaps above my wheels. | | | 06-27-2006, 04:56 PM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2006 Location: Berlin, Germany Posts: 258 | If I'm not busy, I'll drive down from Maryland! __________________ | | | 06-30-2006, 07:31 PM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2004 Location: Columbia, SC Posts: 528 | What is the date for Summerblaze this year? I had a good time last year, I need to remember to bring chairs, drinks, and sunscreen. Oh, and more film. One roll of film disappeared real quick. I need to know soon so I can book a hotel, get the day(s) off work, and find someone to ride with me. Kraln, that's one hell of a drive (at least 14 hours). I would suggest using Amtrak or some other sort of transportation for your car, unless you can get someone to share the driving. | | | 07-01-2006, 03:52 AM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2006 Location: Fl...tampa area Posts: 320 | representing floridagerman, i might go to summerblaze when the date is set, and im going to HIN | | | 07-01-2006, 09:46 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | I stayed at some Hotel on Int drive last spring...alot of brits walking around, I was like WOW. | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
