Default New TI owner

Recently picked up a 1997 Active in Boston Green. The car has high mileage (265K) but is very clean and in surprisingly good shape. It joins my 1976 BMW 2002. I've had a number of 70's and 80's BMWs but this is my first E36. I've always liked the look of the TI and am excited to have a new toy. I'm in Concord NC and am active in the local vintage BMW scene.

Welcome to E36 ownership! Ironically, when I was in high school in the late 90s, I considered a used (would have been 20 years old) 2002 but ended up buying a 240Z. I really wanted an E36 but never could have afforded it back then. Fast-forward 20 years, and now I have a E36, which seem like a bargain compared to 240Zs and 2002s in similar condition. I like to think of my 95 Clubsport TI as a 'modern classic.'

It's amazing how much the Ti feels like my 02, the driving experience is very similar, except for the whole A/C, power steering, power windows, radio you can actually hear thing. I've always wanted an old Datsun, haven't gotten that far down my car bucket list.
