Talking throttle cable help

Putting on my DASC and need to change out the stock throttle cable, does anyone know how to get the stupid cable out of the firewall any tips would be great! Having a hard time with it....

It's a serious pain in the a$$ to get out of the fire wall. Plan on the old one being destroyed up-front, because that's what will happen...

You have to squeeze it and pass it into the engine compartment. Sounds easy, but it will be destroyed; particularly since the engine was not removed. With the engine out, it's slightly easier...

I found a old post and you said that you will get so mad and just destroy it,....well yeah that happened and I did indeed destroy it with a hammer and a flat head screwdriver! I'm glad it worked because it just wasnt coming out any other way.

New cars are designed for ease of assembly, not necessarily ease of dissassembly...

this is great to here ... i have a new one to install /sigh i guess one good thing, i have a new one that i can look at to see how it's shaped and what might be needed to get it to move.

which way did you say was best to install the new one J!m, from engine bay into passenger compartment or the opposite?

It has to go in from the engine side. It just snaps in place, easy peasy- lemon squeezy! THIS usually pisses you off even further, after the holy war you fought to remove the old one...

Be careful you don't put it in upside down!!
