Default Ti not getting fuel

1995 318ti

Alright, so two weeks ago I went to start the monster (if you could see it you'd understand the nickname lol) and, surprise, it didn't start.

blah blah blah, fuel pump was bad, replaced the fuel pump, one of the wires came lose and touched the other and it blue the fuel pump fuse, got that fixed and finally got the pump back into the tank (and replaced the fuel filters as well)

Well, it still won't start. Engine turns over but it's clearly not getting any gas. It's getting spark from the plugs.
Fuel pump is kicking on and It's pulling fuel up.

Car started with starter fluid, but when we revved the engine it choked and died.

Any suggestions? I know when i changed the filter it was full of grit, so i'm wondering if a clogged line is possible,or if it's air? Any useful hints to check?

I am having a similar issue right now... the car starts but it starts to bog down as if it wasn't getting enough fuel...press the gas and it goes a bit , then it picks up, press the gas more and it feels like it's choking.... it's driving me nuts! I changed the fuel filter, dropped fuel injector cleaner into the tank... injectors are about a year old from the turbo build... it's still doing it!... I need help! Not sure if I need to replace the fuel pum or what...

When you drive the car, does it feel like it's sluggish but still able to drive? (like no HP but still drives). Is the CEL ON? It could be as simple as the gas cap gasket going bad. Mine is on the verge of going bad and sometimes it does it. Also check the gasket of the oil cap, but that one makes your car stall at intersections.

Not sure if that will help, but easy/cheap things to check. The gas cap will throw a CEL, the oil cap might throw the Oil light or CEL but not sure anymore.

Well... at this point I have changed fuel filter, dropped a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the tank, changed spark plugs... and still doing the same. It came out of the blue, car was running fine and then on my way to work it just started doing this... the one thing that has me thinking it might be electrical is that about a month ago after a few days of rain my gas and water temp gauges went nuts and stopped working... have checked and double checked fuses and they are fine. Not sure if the pump relay would make all this happen??? Any thoughts?
