Default Rear strut brace question

Hey all.. just wondering if a rear strut brace would be beneficial to the ti. If yes, suggestions would be appreciated. THAAAAAAAAAAAANKS.

I was thinking of building a rear X brace that connects the two strut tops together and has two bars coming from each strut tops to the rear floor where it would have a battery mount(to mount the battery in the trunk. If people are interested i will make some extra. But you will loose some storage space.

Some people think it's beneficial. I can't see how. The front flexes a bit. The rear followes the front. The rear towers aren't going to flex. Plus you loose some of the utility of the hatch.

you could always do the butt-strut which attaches underneath. do a search of the forums, been discussed a number of times.

i've seen that brace. it looks very functional but also really low tech. It's rediculously expensive too.

i'd agree it's overpriced, but i don't care if it's low tech if it works. very little of the suspension mods are "high tech." i'm sure someone could design a similar bar that uses the same principle to achieve the same ends for much less.

a strut bar in itself is pretty low-tech. most of the time, the best answer is the most simple one.

rear bars run $200 (bavauto) to $600 (rdsport). the butt strut isn't expensive, given it's functional value.

somebody should contact those guys about a group buy. i think 10 members of this board would be in, and the price could easily get haggled down to $300 shipped.

go to www.strongstrut.com, click on the z3 and then hit the rear strong strut bar. they have pics and install instructions.
