Nice welds on that exhaust and I like the attention to detail work. Nice setup.

Thank you. I didn't think they were all that pretty, but they work! There are some amazing fabricators out there.. I just make things work.

I noticed your coolant reservoir is on the drivers side.. Is that because of the intake filter? Haha

That's because that's where it was when I purchased the car!

The turbo use to be where the filter is now, so yeah. Another moto of mine that may already be evident in this thread: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I'm having a hard time figuring out which Drag Radial I should put on a 15" wheel.

Anyone with some experience have any suggestions?

That's awesome! My ET is 6mph slower, but 1 .95 of a second slower on street tires. Having trouble launching

Yeah man. Get some drag radials! Also, I was the second person/car of the day to go down the track after the track was prepped. I think it made a huge difference.

just out of curiosity, what type of welder did you use for your exhaust.

My buddies Hobart. Forget the model number, but it wasn't big. Believe we used a mix of Argon gas as well. His welder was slightly larger than my crappy little Lincoln. Sorry for the ugly welds!

Well, all this drag racing and just general beating on the car had to take its toll somewhere. As Jon Hatch (hatchgrafix) already found out, the same thing is happening to me. Some day I'll do something similar to what he did, but in the mean time I did this.

Turned out pretty good I think. Now it's just a matter of time until the whole original support/cross member pulls down/breaks! Then I'll go big.

Same thing was starting to happen to mine back in march / april, but we did a difference approach. We put a 10mm plate on top from the cabin side.

Yeah, the patch didn't hold fully. I wasn't surprised. So I did what I wanted to do in the first place.

Ran out of spool in the mig so I didn't get to finish the last (aesthetic) weld. However, I just went for a test run.

Awesome.

Welded a washer in place as a spacer.

This is the back side of the bracket I made last year. I didn't take a picture after the welds, but I finished welding the along the top there. (crappy welds on the left were because I didn't take the differential/axles down) In this picture you can also see the crack along the top (see the seem where the oil stops and the dry spot begins)

Passenger side of the top brace.

Top of the plate that drops through the floor and to the differential ear tab.

Finished.
