Default ECU Suggestions and Spark Plug Wires

I've asked this for other parts but... what is the best bang for the buck in terms of a new ECU? I'm looking to tune my car at or around $1,000... 3 of the major components being the exhaust, which I found as a result on this board for $475, a Cold Air Intake for around $100 on this board, and now the only company I know that makes an ECU for my car is Dinan.

Also, when it comes to spark plug wires, someone explain this to me. When I finally lifted my hood and decided my car new needed new Bosch +4 Platinums, I discovered what I had never seen before on my domestic speed demons... a coil bank setup... my question is... I've seen from Bavarian Autosport, Performance Plug Wires and a Ignition Amp, how hard is it to install these? Better yet, because it's electrical and it will probably electrocute me, how much labor is required to put that in? Any other suggestions for a brand name?
