Well, long story short, I'm looking for a 2nd car (daily driver), and since I loved my 318ti so much, I want a BMW again. It's important that the car has low miles (<75k). I found a '98 with only 25k miles, but it's selling for $6,800. The car is super clean inside and out. My questions are: Is this price too high? If so, what's a reasonable price to pay for this car? How can I tell if it's equipped with the sports package (suspension, etc)? Thanks for the replies. | | | 10-13-2011, 04:46 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | To me that is a reasonable price for a 98 ti with mileage that low. Sport packages are easy to spot: The rubber side molding will be about an inch and a half wide and it will have an M badge embedded in it. Another sport feature: the black plastic diffuser in the rear of the car. | | | 10-13-2011, 07:26 PM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: Springfield Posts: 6 | Thanks for the reply jca.... Can't wait. I had a Stromung exhaust, K&N intake and chip in my last 318ti. I think I'm going to go with the same setup again. | | | 10-27-2011, 04:41 AM | #9 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: St. Paul, MN Posts: 7 | It'll be tough to go wrong with such low miles, provided the rubber is in good shape. | | | 10-27-2011, 10:20 PM | #10 | Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: Springfield Posts: 6 | Unfortunately this deal fell through. The dealership decided to close and went out of business before I could complete the transaction. I tried to reach the salesperson to no avail. I guess the car will be going to an auction so some lucky person will get it. I'm now trying to locate a similar 318ti with comparatively low miles (50k). It might take up to a year or two, but I’m confident one will show up. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
