Default My 2nd 318ti

Hello,

I bought a 318ti (sports package) back in 1998 and sold it two years later when I moved to NY. Well, long story short, I'm looking for a 2nd car (daily driver), and since I loved my 318ti so much, I want a BMW again. It's important that the car has low miles (<75k). I found a '98 with only 25k miles, but it's selling for $6,800. The car is super clean inside and out. My questions are:

Is this price too high? If so, what's a reasonable price to pay for this car?
How can I tell if it's equipped with the sports package (suspension, etc)?

Thanks for the replies.

To me that is a reasonable price for a 98 ti with mileage that low. Sport packages are easy to spot: The rubber side molding will be about an inch and a half wide and it will have an M badge embedded in it. Another sport feature: the black plastic diffuser in the rear of the car.

Non-Sport interior
Non-Sport side mouldings
Non-Sport wheels
Non-Sport front/rear bumpers

I vote "Does not have the Sport package."

not a sport but still really low miles practically new is hard to find em with miles under 100k and good price...

the prev owner of mine payed $7,000 for it non sport 100k miles and it had some stuff wrong with it but he had no idea it was for his son (my friend) kept it for 4 months and sold it to me for 500 since he pretty much ran it to the ground. either way if miles are so important to you specially that low thats a reasonable price but you can find others really clean inside and out for 5k and under but 100k miles +

Low miles and it being a stick shift is a very good selling point here.

mileage that low means the car has probably been sitting for quite a while, it's probably going to need a lot of rubber and plastic parts replaced

I'm hoping to pick up the 318ti in a week or so. Can't wait. I had a Stromung exhaust, K&N intake and chip in my last 318ti. I think I'm going to go with the same setup again.

It'll be tough to go wrong with such low miles, provided the rubber is in good shape.

Unfortunately this deal fell through. The dealership decided to close and went out of business before I could complete the transaction. I tried to reach the salesperson to no avail. I guess the car will be going to an auction so some lucky person will get it. I'm now trying to locate a similar 318ti with comparatively low miles (50k). It might take up to a year or two, but I’m confident one will show up.
