Electronic all the way Gizzmo MS-IBC is what I run and I love it. Swap the springs and put the 14psi spring in there, it's only 1 psi but worth it. By the way they are real fun to change by yourself so you might want someone to help you...

If you got the same turbo as me you will need to make a little room for it. Grind the block casting a little and the bottom left motor mount bolt head needs to be cut down a little for perfect fitment. The block grind does not remove any material that is important as you will find when you do it. It's just an area were the casting is very thick and hits the exhaust housing on the turbo.

Remember to make sure you get the correct down pipe bolt flange so you don't have to get changed like I did. The OBX manifold comes with the down pipe in the kit, that flange needs to be a standard 4 bolt turbo exhaust flange on that down pipe

Also if you figure out how to install the waste gate dump pipe I want pictures since I was unable to get one on mine without firewall fabrication (too lazy to do it). My waste gate dumps right out the waste gate dump toward the back of the transmission....No worries since it doesn't dump much or for too long. 1,500 miles and no exhaust marks or burns anywhere from the dump...

I think I'm going to have to go to church tomorrow with the camera mounted inside so I can show you what 14.7psi is like. Remember my car is low compression so yours at the same boost will be a little more powerful. I'm sure you will have problems sleeping a night until your project is completed after you see this video

Best, John S

cool, that will come in useful on your NA engine at least if you have someone else drive your car it will screw with them when they turn the key off

Just from eyeing that it looks like the smaller flange and that is the same guy I bought my manifold from. I would ask him if that is a standard 4 bolt flange for a .63 exhaust housing before you purchase

Was that a 3 wire install? If so what 3 wire did you tap into. I tried it on mine and everything stays on but the EWS cuts the fuel and spark....

Yeah it was a 3 wire install, well actually 5, ground and e-brake safety (optional), just tap the red, green, and purple wire from the ignition on the steering column,

So far the car stays on until whatever time the turbo timer says is gonna stay on and then turns off when the time's up, I can even lock the car and roll up the windows and stuff and the car keep runing just fine, hope this can help

I will look at mine again. I did the 5 wire. Maybe I swapped green and purple and thats the problem. IDK

If you got it working, I must get mine working

[QUOTE=Jean H.318TI;244818]

can wait for the videoQUOTE]

Sorry, reality took over. I get off probation on the 30th and I just could not do it. If I'm caught on the road for anything other then "business purpose" I'm in deep $hit. If I can't drive to work I loose everything, without money I'm nothing and my family needs me paying bills.

I could be hit by a old lady and it's my fault. Break down and I'm busted. I'm keeping it super clean and doing exactly what they told me to do so I can get off probation in 9 days and my class "E" license back in February. I completely stopped racing anyone for the past 4-5 days, I don't know how long I can hold out but it's like AA "one day at a time"...

Jean, looks like the parts collecting is progressing nicely I'm excited to see the build start, and jealous too

John, I agree, don't push your luck. Screw the car not getting used if you lose your license, the family's always more important, and I'm glad you realized racing on the suspended license was no better than being one of the super tuners blocking off streets

good luck - sounds good. boost is really the trick! my car, though still with some stuff to ironed out, is like nite & day compared to what it was when I got it.

anything past 10 psi & that 2.25 inch exhaust will make a difference, too. Believe it or not, I'm actually going custom route & will be getting the 2.5 inch wiht a Magnaflow back box soon! LOL

gonna use the same OBX turbo manifold
HKS Super SQV
TIAL wastegate 44mm
MITSUBISHI turbo T3
HKS turbo timer
27"x7"x2.5" intercooler delta fin 2.5" in/out. - black
2.5" intercooler piping - black,
Silicone hoses black
Heavy Duty Spring Loaded T-Bolt Clamps
Turbo Oil Scavenge Pump
electronic boost controller (not sure what brand)
Lucas 42.8# Blue Strip injectors
Injector adaptors (Metric)
M3 MAF sensor
2.5" > 3" boot to connect new MAF in system.
Co2 intercooler sprayer (no tune) just to help with the heat soak on hot days or before/after a run on the track/street
and all the other random stuff like the oil/water lines and everything else

and im also gonna run with open wastegate, so is gonna be super loud (only WOT) lol

is gonna take few months until i get all the parts, i already order some of the stuff tho, so maybe by winter or before we are gonna have another turbo TI and im only gonna run 14psi tops and 8psi DD (shooting for 200+whp @14psi)

cant wait for this to be done but money is kinda low, around 400month to spend on this so yeah is gonna take some time, any donations are welcome
