Default Door panel speakers

I want to remove the tweeters from my door panels and fit 4" mid range drivers there.

My question is.......how much room is there behind the door panel to fit them neatly ( without the need for spacer rings )....it sees that the panel kinda comes out from the door itself in this area and I was hoping to be able to fit some mids in without too much messing about

Im relocating ( well replacing ) the stock tweeters onto the mirror panel pieces

there is room to have the tweeter swapped out to another 4" item without problem

Ive had my door panel off soo many times, and i have also considered it

Also cosidered having the same on the opposite door, instead of just the one single small tweeter

Just looked them up on pelican, they want $66.50 for each one. So in total it's $133 plus shipping.

Yeah the quality may be worth it. Mallard by any chance do you know what brand these tweeters are. Pelican has no info on the brand. I'm thinking about it. I might just end up with some infinity tweeters.

I want to fit some pretty decent 3 ways ( tweet in the mirror location, 4" mids in the doors and 6" mid/woofers in the kickwell )....maybe Focal or MB Quart

From what you were saying I think that the depth of the 4" mid is going to be a problem? I dont want to cut into the metal of the door itself!

if its an original 4" you want to replace the tweeter with, then there is no problem at all.

if its an after market one, then you will need to measure the depth of the driver to make sure there is no restictions.

The tweeters are from Siemens or Nokia !
