Boosts up to 11.5-12 psi now instead of 10 psi. It's crazy awesome. Definitely more power and no hesitation at all. Not really sure where I got it to engage (I think between 2-3 psi, but I just turned it two more times to raise it; looking for 5-6 psi). I would definitely recommend to anyone with a boosted car. | | | 07-30-2009, 11:26 AM | #17 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Simple fact about injecting before the SC. The water/Meth seals the rotors. It also does this if you have no coating Wait until you drop in that 3.2" pulley. Your going to $hit. I would suggest you go with Lucas 42.8# blue strip injectors and get a modified injector map with your rev limiter bump. We found Nicks stage 3 a little lean on the top with the small pulley cold weather only. Metric found it on the dyno so they can fill you in or if you want you can call me cause I had the issue with the 30# injectors too, not enough fuel when your making big HP. I'm not kidding you your about to climb off the porch with the big dogs, you will walk all over a M3 with that 3.2". How much is a set? Is the tune change that difficult/expensive? | | | 07-30-2009, 02:30 PM | #19 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker nice... yeah maybe the lucas injectors are needed. There about $200 new and that is not matched. As for the tune Nick's TT stage 3 will run those but throw a error for adaption value out of range. Not sure what Mark would charge since I don't know if he wants to just shange Nick's code or sell you his. I think he would just change Nick's code since you already purchased it and there is nothing wrong with modifing something you purchased... I will ask if you want. I drove around with the 42.8# and no change on the TT stage 3 for 1-2 months...good performance but not perfect | | | 07-30-2009, 02:49 PM | #20 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2006 Location: Central NJ Posts: 2,440 | Hold onto them for me. I'm waiting for my paycheck from a month ago... (ridiculous). I would prefer to have the ECU set for them anyhow. What does matched mean? Aren't all size injectors matched for each other? Why is Marko getting 30 lb/hr injectors instead? | | | 07-30-2009, 07:58 PM | #21 | Senior Member Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: MA Posts: 163 | matched just means they were tested and they do actually flow the same rate each. | | | 07-30-2009, 09:19 PM | #22 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | they are 38lbs. injectors... I was told that 42 pounders were spraying only at 50% of available capacity at full throtle anyway - i.e. not neccessary. Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Hold onto them for me. I put the 3.2" pulley on today and it's crazy!!!!! I think I'm making as much power as my dad's M50 manifolded M Roadster. I'll try to do a few 0-60 times and 1/4 miles soon. Remember, I'm running a 2.93 rear end so it might not be that great (running about 6.1 sec with 10 psi pulley). | | | 07-31-2009, 12:03 AM | #24 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | dude.. I must have been asleep for some time now! what happened here? where did you get all the stuff? you running this on stock compression & internals?? I think I saw your post elsewhere stating 14psi wtf? LOL summarize please! Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker Ah... got it. I put the 3.2" pulley on today and it's crazy!!!!! I got a 3.2" pulley and Coolingmist water/meth injection. I put it all on today and the car is crazy. I now need to sort out a valve cover plate gasket oil leak issue that's been plaguing me for the past week since I put in a new VCG. You're welcome to check out my car. I'm going to try to get it dynoed within a week from now. I bet with a 3.25 diff (I have a 3.25 LSD sitting in the garage right now but have a back problem) it would hit 60 in less than 5 seconds. It's insane and feels WAY faster than the 3.4" pulley with no water/meth. | | | 07-31-2009, 02:56 AM | #26 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2007 Location: Gulfport, Florida Posts: 3,208 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker So... Your motor will handle the 15-16psi no problem as long as you shoot the meth. If Marko is going with 38# that might be better for you since your motor is closer in compression to his plus they will have the injector map figured out for those injectors. Told you it would haul a$$. I bet you went out hunting for M3's and couldn't find one in sight | | | 08-03-2009, 03:49 AM | #27 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | Quote: Originally Posted by pnosker So... I would have done it earlier but my back has been killing me. I'm on cyclobenzaprine and meloxicam to try to relieve the tension as well as vicoprofen but nothing seems to be working too well at this point. I don't want to ask you to come down and help because I'm afraid I'll just hurt it worse again. Lifting heavy diff's doesn't help back healing . I'll let you know when I'm going to do it though. My dad offered to do it for me but he's going down to NC till the 21st on Wed. Then I only have a week till school starts so I might not end up doing it this summer . | | | 08-03-2009, 05:01 PM | #29 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | that's cool. Just let me know.. I am usually free mon and tues. I bench pressed a Saab Transmission into place.. so a diff should not be that difficult | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
