No build thread. I will write up something eventually about how to put down ~225 rwhp with the M44 however. Actually that's a rough estimate. I need to get it dynoed (hopefully this week). My M44 build is a very slow process (I don't have much money being a student) but when the ball gets going fast on that I'll start a thread.

It took me 8 hours to swap my 2.93 LSD in (had to re-do it and some bolts were VERY stuck. It took only 4 to swap my old 3.45 LSD in another member's car. I bet I could do it in 2-3 hours again if I had to, but my back is not in good shape... going to the doctor for the second time to see what's up tomorrow.

It's a wikipedia USER page... many active wikipedians use "user" pages. It's not a page in the encyclopedia.

Sorry to resurrect my own thread, but at the same time I put a catch can in similar to the one put on a Z3 made with Home Depot parts.

Well... it's a good thing. After only ~1000 miles since I put it on, see what I saw:

It's emulsified oil. I guess the little valve at the bottom was set to allow stuff in and some water must have gotten in because a few weeks ago it was still nice and brown. There's like at least 50 ml of stuff in there.

I don't think that's the case: I see the same emulsified oil when I wash the car or after heavy rain. It could be vapour from the water meth system to. Either way it's vater vaport that pass through the rings and get's filtered out. Vapour molecules are far smaller than the oil itself: that indicates the quality of the filter in being able to trap a great deal of oil that otherwise will get back into the combustion chamber.

I've been thinking about making it a self maintaining device: I would add a line to the drain with a check valve draining back in the cranckase through the oil dipstick... I've just never got around it and it doesn't get filled quickly (I normally dump it every 3K-5K miles) and got busy working on the oil cooler project...
