Yeah, thats true, I suppose the M42 version doesn't have the hole at all. I read an install sheet for the M44 version and the hole for the sensor was in the short pipe.

I installed mine today and couldn't get it to fit right because of the splash guard and brake duct so i ended up modifying it like this one. If anybody with an m44 is wondering how to do it. I was lucky enough to have one of these in my dads shop

I used 4 bits after marking a hole going up a size with each cut until i could fit the grommet for the sensor in.
Any machine shop should have one and it only took 5 minutes so I'm sure if you asked somebody they would do it for free or for a very small fee.

And the small bracket that the relocated horn was attached to can be hacksawed off very easily and bent backwards or removed completely it made it easier to fit the filter and maneuver it around

I actually removed the brake duct, figured it was easier than cutting up my intake, didn't have any problems with the splash guard

I could of done that but i don't have fog lights because someone stole them before i bought the car and i like the look of the front end without them. Without fog lights driving in the rain with the intake that low can be a real easy way to get water into my engine so i figured cutting it and routing a hose up would be the best solution

I had mesh grills in my foglight holes when I put this intake in, and my new front bumper has a hole right in front of the filter, hydrolocking is possible, but not if you're careful around puddles and stuff

werd..but living in rhode island kinda kills that attack on the problem because our weather changes in an instant and alot of the roads in my area are all f*cked up and create huge puddles that would definitely make their way into my fog light hole the first time it rained
I was going to go the foglight delete route but i decided that without them on my bumper looked more aggressive which is what im going for haha
