Default New ti owner from Chicago

Hey all. Just picked up my first BMW, an Alpineweiss 96 318ti Sport, coming from a history of mostly Japanese cars. Picked it up as a project as it has a cranking, but no start condition and other issues with it. Was lurking on here for awhile researching the issues before making the purchase. Hopefully it wont be a bad decision, lol. I've always liked the shape of the ti, so I'm gonna try and revive, and enjoy it. Thanks everyone!

FunElan, thanks for the offer! BTW, do you have an Elan? Or what is the story with your username?

Edit: I just saw your sig. Pretty cool!

Welcome. It wasn't a bad decision.

I grew up in Chicago area. Couldn't stand rusted out cars so moved out West. (not to mention the weather)

Good luck!

I grew up in my dad's Elan, and that was his license plate

Cheers, I just joined also. Enjoyed my ti for years and glad you chose it instead of continuing with Japanese cars. I think you’ll find German cars make better sounds and can do donuts unlike a Integra or prelude.
