Default Fuel lines from body to engine (size??)

I have a slight fuel seep from the rubber fuel pressure line (with plastic braided cover) the runs from the steel fuel lines ahead of the fuel filter and transitions to the steel fuel line that connects to the injector rail below intake manifold.
This line is not shown on the bmwfans OR realoem parts breakdown, so I "assume" it is a standard rubber fuel line that can be purchased locally.

Anyone know the size of the rubber hose? (don't have time to rip into it this weekend, heading to Carlisle Import show) Thanks

FWIW: Symptom - car cranks for about 3-4 seconds before starting if sitting overnight (fuel pressure bleeds down from the seep) Starts OK if it's been setting for a short time.

The lines are special high pressure line not just rubber fuel line....

Worst case you can have some Aeroquipe or Goodrich lines made up.
Many Hydraulic shops can make them...

I think they are 5/16 high pressure. Make sure you get fuel injection hose or you will have a blow out of the line and a fire.

I use the 5/16" fuel injection hose from the steal lines under the car about where the drivers seat is to the injector rail and return back down to the regulator which is located in the same area under the car about where the drivers seat is. This is what was supplied with the DASC supercharger kit. I suggest you use a little rubber hose as possible. Steel line is great as long as it is not rusted from winter/salt driving.

Best, John Smith

Barry...+1 for above, mine looked really good or I would have replaced as well. When I checked 5/16 fuel injection hose, its hella expensive, but, it is what you need.

Thanks,
I got some 5/16" Dayco F.I. hose at Pep-Boyz. 20" length works well.
The original lines are BMW 8 x 13MM which is probably available from the dealer if you ask/email.

..ah..it turns out the seep is coming from the fuel line fitting at the injection rail. I didn't replace the o-ring on the fuel line when I was doing the crankshaft pos. sensor a few weeks ago. It was two years old but might have been nicked during that repair work.
