Default New BMW owner

Hi Everyone,

I bought a 1995 318ti a couple of weeks ago. I posted a thread on " Thinking about buying a 318ti" a few weeks ago. I figured I'd introduce myself formally.

I'm hoping to get my car out to Waterford Hills this summer for an open track day so if there's anyone else in the Michigan area that's interested get in touch. I live in Sarnia Ontario on the right side of St. Clair River across from Port Huron MI.

I haven't picked up my car from the garage yet due a rear emergency brake cable being on back order for a week now. Once they get it in I'll be picking it up and I'll get some pictures of it then. I still need to check it over to see what modifications it has on it. The salesperson didn't know everything. Here's what I know so far.

Remus exhaust
Koni yellow's
Not sure what kind of Springs but definitely lower and stiffer

I'll update the list once I get it up on a lift and take some pictures.

Cheers.

I still haven't picked my car up. I'm getting a little PO at the dealership. It's been 3 weeks now. Are parts so rare that it takes 3 weeks to get an E brake cable? Of course it has to be a BMW dealership so they have to get BMW parts. They're supposed to give me an update tomorrow.

I picked the car up on Wednesday night after sending the dealership owner an email of frustration. He appologized for the delay and took a few hundred dollars off the winter tires and rims I bought off of him. The had to replace the dust plate cover on the one side and that part was on back order for about a week and a half.

I have the car now and it's is so much fun. The upgraded suspension (not sure yet what brand the lowering springs are yet, I just know they're red) is awesome. The thing handles so good. A lot better than the 1991 Nissan 4x4 I used to drive. LOL.

I'll take some pictures tonight and post them as soon as I can. My home computer crapped out on me earlier this week so when I get it back I'll post those picks.

The paint looks good. I'm glad the pin stripe is gone. Pin stripes belong on grandpa's car.

Thanks for the compliment. I have them in the garage right now and need to put them on a scale. They feel pretty heavy. They're old ICW's 18". I have the original 10 spoke alloys on it with snow tires. It's about -10 Celcius here today and it was really icy last night when I was out for a drive. I'm really glad I got winter tires.

yeah, 18"s are a little too big for our little, underpowered cars
