I'm glad you guys went with stoptech. Did you have to swap hubs to fit those things? __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 05-16-2006, 06:35 AM | #33 | Senior Member Join Date: May 2005 Location: CG68 Posts: 280 | Quote: Originally Posted by DustenT You really need to learn to keep your ignorant comments to yourself. | +1 | | | 05-16-2006, 07:16 AM | #34 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Madison, WI Posts: 121 | Absolutely sick... looks like an AMAZINGLY complete and overkill job. Take it to the track yet? What are you shooting for? Edit: Is the roll-cage a custom fab or a kit? Looks freakin' awesome... | | | 05-16-2006, 08:55 AM | #35 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Portland Oregon Posts: 1,363 | This may be a dumb question, but how much fab work did you have to fo to fit the engine in the car? | | | 05-16-2006, 03:53 PM | #36 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Quote: Originally Posted by aceyx You guys don't have to defend the spoiler; those of us with a working brain can see its function. I have 310 pictures of the conversion, so yes I’ll be adding them to the website. 2. The roll cage is custom, it was also built be Randy. 3. The engine fits without any fab work to the chassis, but there is an incredible amount needed in regards to motor mounts, oil pan, exhaust, and accessories. 4. I like the looks of the spoiler, and since it’s my car that’s all that matters – and since it will blow by any ‘winged’ ti out there that’s pretty much the end of the discussion. First day at the track is this Thursday. | | | 05-16-2006, 09:56 PM | #38 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2005 Location: Lake Stevens, WA Posts: 119 | Sweet ride! I assume you'll be at PR Thurs? I'd be tempted to stop by, but I'll be out of town. Hope to see you at a local BMW event or? Are you running the T56 tranny and an M3 rear? __________________ Pete N | | | 05-16-2006, 10:05 PM | #39 | Member Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 67 | I'll be there, but don't expect any world shattering laps. Thursday is just for shake down and adjustments. I will also be out at the June 7th event. | | | 05-17-2006, 12:50 AM | #40 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Madison, WI Posts: 121 | umm... I'm pretty sure they'll still be "world shattering", if only in the realm of this site/car... The guy who makes the Nash conversions isn't talking... Does anyone even know what the fastest 1/4 time for an E36/5 is? | | | 05-17-2006, 02:04 AM | #41 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2005 Location: Quad Cities, Iowa Posts: 2,110 | Is there anyone here with a Racing Dynamics K55 Hurricane ti? Id like to see the 357ti and that go against each other. __________________ "Drive Fast and Take Chances" | | | 05-17-2006, 03:11 AM | #42 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2004 Location: MD/VA/DC Posts: 834 | Quote: Originally Posted by SDKmann Is there anyone here with a Racing Dynamics K55 Hurricane ti? Second, quick question about your old setup. I see you deleted the powersteering and pump. Unfortunately I can't see your tensioner setup in the pics of the engine. What size is the new belt, and what did you do to tension it? Is it still the hydraulic tensioner that came on the engine or did you set it up to tension like a V-Belt? Any insight would be great. TIA. Oh, and again, car is tits! | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
