I know everyone recommends that you use the M3 MC, but is it really necessary? I know it will make the clutch easier to use, but will it be impossible to use without the MC? I am used to driving Mustangs and Camaros with heavy clutches and would really like a stiffer clutch pedal in my car. I'm just making sure I will be able to drive the car without the MC. TIA. | | | 12-20-2004, 12:47 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Toronto Posts: 148 | The master cylinder is the same for all e36s. It's the slave cylinder that can be replaced. Install the clutch, drive around, if you don't like it then just replace the slave cylinder with the M3 unit. Takes about an hour at most. I guess I got my parts mixed up. As long as it is driveable then I'll be happy. I just didn't want to finish and have a clutch that wouldnt' work. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
