Red face How tricky IS the water pump/thermostat job?

Hey!

I've been putting off replacing my water pump, and now the temperature gauge never gets out of the blue, and I figure my thermostat has frozen open, so now's the time to do the whole thing.

How annoying is this job?

Where can I find an online step-by-step? (I have a Bentley E36 manual.)

What all do I need, like all the washers and hose clamps and so forth?

What are the danger spots, or is it all very routine?

Where do we get rid of the old coolant, nowadays?

Thanks!

It's not that hard, just make sure you've read

It will give you some insights on what may go wrong and what will need to be done.

Good luck
