Default Crankcase vent valve

Folks,

Has anyone replaced the "crankcase vent valve" on a M44 engine?
I think I have a vacuum leak from it--whether it's the rubber cap or the
valve itself is unknown. On the ETK, it's called (I think) the "shut-off"
valve. Is it easy to replace? Does the intake have to be removed?

I just repalced the camshaft sensor and pressure hose from the valve cover that was split--causing misfiring and several faults.

thanks for the advice,
Brian
