Default Engine hesitation or jerk under load higher speeds

I put this in electrical cause I'm ok thinking thats what it is. I have not posted much but have found much knowledge here just not for this problem so it may be a pain to fix. Just recently the ASC light has been coming on in my car. It is a 97 TI with the M44. So I first noticed it on a drive with my cruise control on. The light had come on but the cruise still worked and so does ABS and traction control I found d out on a slick road. But last time the light came on the cruise and traction control didn't work. Anyway so under load even if its alight when the cruise would increase rpm to take even a slight grade the car would jerk and hesitate almost like its losing power. I though it was a misfire but no CEL or loss of much rpm. To me it feels like a brake activating or the limiting valve closing really fast, but its hard to tell going 80mph. It hardly does it below like 70 and goes crazy after 85 sometimes, the problm is its ai random and intermittent i cant pin it down. I dont have a reader to see what the light is cause it doesn't display through OBDii. If anyone has experienced something similar please let me know. This has made stumped and I have to drive back to Idaho on Sunday night.

Sounds like the DISA valve. Mine is doing the same thing with CEL. However, you're DISA may be going bad with no CEL yet. It's DISA valve, especially if you have replaced plugs, wires, ignition coil and MAF sensor. This is my suggestion. Replace DISA valve

What code is yours giving in relation to the DISA? Mine does have the CEL on but the Sode it give I had linked to the secondary air pump, it would only come on if I started the car and drove right away before the air pump finished its cycle. The code is a 1426 I believe but I'd have to make it set again And pull it but I occasionally get another code I can't remember what it is though. So your car does the same thing under load while driving? Does it do it at low speeds or high speeds?

It would be a significant notice as i accelerated. More throttle, then the rough jerking. Also, when the alternator stops making volatage below 10volts, thr car can act weird. Right now, im needing to replace disa (i dont know code, buddy's scanner didnt give that) and an alternator issue. Just as all this tool place my throe out bearing went out LOL.
