It makes me sad how the previous owner treated her so I'm trying my best to give her a better life =). Anyways heres my two issues. 1. How do you replace the shift boot. Mine got torn and I wanted to put a new one on. 2. How easy is it to repair a falling celling cloth? Thanks guys __________________ ~Morrphix | | | 06-12-2007, 12:53 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | The boot around the shift lever pops right off. You need to remove the shift lever knob first. Replacing the liner has been discussed. I don't recall the thread right now. But you can buy the headliner from the dealer. I believe you need to remove the seats to replace the liner. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 06-15-2007, 12:49 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: SOUTH Jersey Posts: 1,085 | the seats can stay in to replace the liner.. but you will need to pop the plastic over the pillars out. | | | 06-15-2007, 03:13 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Wisconsin Posts: 1,895 | headliner Here is the thread on how I did my headliner.
