Default Foggy windows

My front window constantly fogs up under harsher temperature at night. It's getting really annoying that I have to use AC to get it to unfog. What can I do to stop this?

Your local auto parts store should carry Rain-X Anti Fog. It didn't really work well for me, but it might help. I used to spit in my dive mask to keep it from fogging, but someone told me toothpaste works better. Perhaps you can try rubbing toothpaste on a small section and then wipe it off and see if that section fogs up. Hey at the very least, your car will smell minty fresh

There are a few anti-fog products besides the rain-x one. I use a gel one that comes in an orange and black tube that works better for me. Also the rain-x one is pretty strong smelling if you are putting it on in a car that has windows closed. So open the windows before using it. None of them seem to last that long and all need to be reapplied every few weeks.

First off, I loving the avatar!

I'll give toothpaste a try and see how it works. I've tried rain-x too and it left a messy residue behind, which I was not too pleased about.

I think I know what you're talking about with orange and black tube. I'll see if my auto store still caries it.

toothpaste - toothpaste - toothpaste
toothpaste - ABRASIVE - toothpaste
toothpaste - toothpaste - toothpaste

Or, maybe I'm wrong?

I actually used it to polish my old plastic headlights. It worked pretty good

Toothpaste has abrasive properties similar to a rubbing compound. I am not sure how that would stop fogging unless there are other properties in it. Headlights yes, it works good for scratched cds and games. It can be like sandpaper on a painted surface so be careful. (This is only the paste not the gel)

My ti used to fog up worse than any car I have ever been in. But a couple treatments of the rain-x anti fog and it is much better now.

<-------Look at my avatar. You do not want to mess with me

Guys, it's not going to hurt glass. The only reason I mentioned it was because my buddies recommended it when they seen me spit in my mask. Talk to anyone who dives or just check out these links:

I also recommended that he just apply it to a small area and see if it makes a difference next time it fogs up. Perhaps he'll be kind enough to snap a photo of the area for the non believers

FWIW, most people say not to use the gel type toothpaste because it DOESN'T HAVE ENOUGH abrasive to remove any film or residue. Use the paste style toothpaste instead.
