The motor for my cali sunroof went out. Im talking about the cloth sunroof that is like 3'x4' or something. Its a 96 ti and i was wandering if there is a manual crank located somewhere and if the crank piece would be with the tool kit in the back where the spare is. | | | 12-15-2006, 11:44 PM | #2 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Assuming the sunroof is the same as cali top there should be a tool in your trunk and the motor is located behind the button on the roof to open you cali top/sunroof. Just take a flathead and lift up on that panel and it should be right behind there. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-19-2006, 07:20 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: Lynchburg, VA Posts: 200 | Correct. That panel is held on with velcro and when you pull it off, you will see a hole for an allen wrench. That is the manual operation for the California top. | | | 12-19-2006, 07:25 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 413 | there's a manual crank for those w/ just a regular sunroof too.. | | | 12-19-2006, 07:46 PM | #5 | TRETEN IRGENDEINES ESELS Join Date: Aug 2004 Location: Rhode Island Posts: 3,687 | Quote: Originally Posted by snwbrdrbum10 there's a manual crank for those w/ just a regular sunroof too.. | Thats why i said assuming it's the same as the regular sunroof. __________________ 98 Avus Blue 318 ti Active clear outs all around, stealth turning signals, blue led interior lights, 35% tinted windows,K&N air filter, 12" Kenwood Sub, MTX Thunder Amp,Alpine cd changer, Leatherz Armrest,ACS Pedals/Handbrake/FloorMats & Vitesse Tuning Carbon Fiber B-Pillars/CF Spark Plug Cover, New 16" MSW Typer 14 Rims on Goodyear Triple Treds www.myspace.com/avusblueti | | | 12-19-2006, 07:49 PM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Bend, OR Posts: 413 | you said assuming its the same as a cali-top...but we're good..lol | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | Similar Threads | Thread | Thread Starter | Forum | Replies | Last Post | I got an offer today | angel318ti | Lounge | 45 | 05-14-2007 02:19 AM | |
