Im guessing the only thing you can do is repaint the car. If you live in houston tx i know a guy who will repaint your car for $900 and he does a good job. | | | 08-07-2009, 10:45 PM | #5 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: VA Posts: 15 | nope iam in VA about 1500 miles away. It comes with a separate canister of clear coat. I think it works well and looks pretty good too. | | | 08-08-2009, 01:06 AM | #11 | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: VA Posts: 15 | Is there a DIY up that i can follow? sorry iam new to cars, haha. oh i found out i have Schwartz II its under hood on left strut Last edited by atree1337; 08-08-2009 at 01:10 AM. | | | 08-08-2009, 04:32 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Bethlehem, PA Posts: 1,106 | see, the problem with getting a car painted is that, JUST THE PAINT to paint it cost $400 ... haha, so you are always looking at more then $400 even if you paint the car yourself, so there is never an easy way to do it.. the best thing you can do is try to find a TECH school in the area, finding a high school tech school is normally the best.. and if they have a auto body shop, you can normally talk to the teacher for alittle, and they might either paint it for FREE, just buy the paint, or sometimes they charge like $800 or something for the job if they want extra money for there class.. but atleast all the money goes to education... =] i got my first car painted at a local tech school. went in, talk to the teacher.. and he did the job for $450... removed allll the old paint and rust, painted it really nice, and put black racing strips on it (it was a mustang, so it was allowed the sick strips.. haha) he was also painting a car with a Pearlescent coat. VERY SICK STUFF.. i was thinking about getting the $800 he quoted me on before to get something like that done for my BMW,,, btu i really dont have the cash, plus he said he hated doing it.. haha.. but .. $800.. not bad at all.. he might not be so nice since i was already in tho.. might be like $1,300 __________________ Check out our new website! https://soltechsolutionsllc.com/ Green Your Decor with the Aspect!
