The car has about 130k miles on it, H&R Springs with Bilsteins. It has a custom exhaust as well. The only issues are the headliner needs to be redone, asking price is 3000. From what ive read on here its a base model, no sunroof. Thoughts? | | | 03-25-2011, 02:55 AM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: Los Angeles, CA Posts: 1,464 | If it's clean, everything (or most everything) works, and it's not burning/blowing oil, sounds like an excellent deal to me. Any pictures? | | | 03-25-2011, 03:24 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Jacksonville FL Posts: 4 | heres a few, I test drove it tonight. He said it has not been started in a few weeks. it had a bit of a rough idle at first but he reved it ip and it was fine. and just for fun a pic of my current ride.. | | | 03-25-2011, 03:25 AM | #4 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Jacksonville FL Posts: 4 | | | | 03-25-2011, 03:30 AM | #5 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2007 Location: asdfasdf Posts: 10,002 | Quote: Originally Posted by BMA The only issues are the headliner needs to be redone, | typical BMW problem, lots of us on here have sagging headliners the car doesn't look too bad, I'd pay $3k for it. nice Scion btw, I hated those when they first came out but they've grown on me | | | 03-25-2011, 03:32 AM | #6 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Jacksonville FL Posts: 4 | Thanks, Yea im not too worried about the headliner, I wrapped the xBs headliner and pillars in suede and the BMW would prolly get the same treatment. | | | 03-25-2011, 04:40 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Jun 2009 Location: Flathead Lake Montana Posts: 24 | That's a nice looking car, $3k isn't bad either. Do these have a MAF or something similar? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-29-2011, 04:40 AM | #12 | Senior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Wichita Falls, Texas Posts: 1,364 | I would say that's a fair price, and I continue to look at and price ti's just for fun. Bet the car has been driven hard, though. Aftermarket air intakes are a red flag to me. | | | 03-29-2011, 04:41 AM | #13 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Toronto Canada Posts: 143 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti With that crappy air filter, I wonder how the MAF is? It should be more responsive if im not mestaken? please I dont understand | | | 04-01-2011, 06:59 PM | #14 | Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: Chicago Posts: 111 | I bought mine as a daily back in Aug. of 09 and paid around the same price. Definitely check on the cooling system. Mine took a crap 4 months later. __________________ "Never trust a big butt and a smile" 97- 328Ti (daily) 01- S2K (auto-x, cruiser) 96- JDM Integra SiR-G turbo (1/4 mile, auto-x, road course, show) | | | 04-02-2011, 03:31 AM | #15 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2011 Location: Toronto Canada Posts: 143 | Quote: Originally Posted by 32styledTI I have a filter the same as that put on by the previous owner, what would be the benifit of having another over this one? are you saying that the MAF isnt going to read correcly?
