Default looking at a 318ti as a daily

Hey guys, Im looking at a 1997 318ti as a daily driver. The car has about 130k miles on it, H&R Springs with Bilsteins. It has a custom exhaust as well. The only issues are the headliner needs to be redone, asking price is 3000. From what ive read on here its a base model, no sunroof. Thoughts?

If it's clean, everything (or most everything) works, and it's not burning/blowing oil, sounds like an excellent deal to me.

Any pictures?

typical BMW problem, lots of us on here have sagging headliners

the car doesn't look too bad, I'd pay $3k for it. nice Scion btw, I hated those when they first came out but they've grown on me

Thanks, Yea im not too worried about the headliner, I wrapped the xBs headliner and pillars in suede and the BMW would prolly get the same treatment.

I bought mine for a city driver & have not regretted it. Great fun in the 0-60 range.
Buy that car!

With that crappy air filter, I wonder how the MAF is?
Do these have a MAF or something similar?

I would say that's a fair price, and I continue to look at and price ti's just for fun. Bet the car has been driven hard, though. Aftermarket air intakes are a red flag to me.

I bought mine as a daily back in Aug. of 09 and paid around the same price. Definitely check on the cooling system. Mine took a crap 4 months later.
