Normally I would be all over buying this. This is all exactly what I want to do, but there's more important things for me to buy for my car right now (

Well if you're interested in the engine alone I know of a local buyer for the tranny, would allow you to have money for those other things. The ZF isnt really necessary for the swap.

Well. There's a few things I need to do to get my car in shape for the engine, and to get it running properly again. The driveshaft needs service/replacement, I need coilovers , I probably need new mounts for the engine and tranny, and I'd like to get the car looking nicer haha. I also have no experience assembling an engine and would be devastated if I put somethign together wrong and completely destroyed it.

Granted I have a buddy who is VERY experienced in it, and would get him to help me so there probably wouldn't be any problems. I thought about going supercharged M42, but that would probably cost just as much as the swap... or at least the engine anyway. How much were you thinking?

In my opinion, SC would cost more than an s52 swap. They are hard to find and generally run 2000-2500 alone, and then any engine maintenance you need to do on top of that. I personally would do a full gasket replacement if I had planned to SC. Hard to disregard how fun boost is though

Its my bday so im feeling generous, I would do 1800 and half the shipping cost with you if the money is in my paypal this weekend for some bday shopping extravaganza. This would include the full engine, OBDI setup, and engine accessories.

Idk about this weekend, but I'll keep the offer in mind. I'm still not sure if I want to spend too much money on this car yet anyway. But DANG! That is a good deal. If I was positive about keeping my car and putting money into I'd probably be all over it.

No worries, maybe an SC will pop up for cheap too Undoubtedly its easier to install.
