Items Needed Drill w/a 3/32" and a regular phillips head bit 4 small sheet metal screws 4 3/16"... __________________ Steffen, they are F's not V's. Thanks buddy for posting this!! I'll try this in a couple days | | | Quote: Originally Posted by ChItalian1027 I wonder if it would look cool to use just the inside part of the brake like the other 3ers and not use the outside part of the rear taillight. Yeah but Steve you don't want to blind people driving behind you. Would it do that? | | | Yes, thats with the headlights on.... If no one can see that they must be blind indeed. I just wanted to be like the rest of the line up. | | | I converted them to brake lights, and installed some ultra white bulbs., I don't have near the close calls any more... Essentially I jumped the board. If you need a pic I'll snap one for you. Al. | Al I would appreciate that, so I can get a general idea of how I will do that. | | | Here you go... you can carefully bend the tabs and fit the female blade connectors over them, nice tight fit, so there should be no issues. I haven't had any problems since installing them over a year ago. | | | (moved new posts to previous thread by same poster) | | | Me and my friend just tried the tail lights mod and it was a success. Thanks for the posts and guide. The tail light lens was pretty hard to find | Last edited by michaelross; 06-23-2010 at 03:29 AM.. | | I just completed the tail light mod. It was super easy and only took 10min. I recommend using #6 self-tapping sheet metal screw bolt and a star washer. I also slathered on some liquid electrical tape on the parts where the ring lugs are. That part is close to the car chassis and I didn't want it possibly rubbing or shorting to the vehicle chassis. Huge improvement. BTW, my car already had the bulbs there too.
