Default Complete car for parts 97 318ti Sport M Technic $695 Buffalo, NY

1997 BMW 318ti
Rear wheel drive
5 speed manual transmission
169,968 miles
1 owner 0 accident clean title
M-tech bumpers & sideskirts
Sport interior w/adjustable thigh bolsters

This 97 318ti has some very usable and rare parts. Rear bumper and sideskirts are in great shape and are oem. Front bumper is DOT-R and has some broken tabs. Sport interior is quite rare, driver's side bolster wear as shown. 1 small hole in the driver's seat bottom. Parcel shelf included. Black headliner and pillars, though the headliner sags.

The underbody has deteriorated greatly, though the doors/hatch do not appear to have any rust whatsoever. I would presume it sat in a field for a long time bringing moisture only to the underside. The engine starts with jump, previous owner told me of overheating problems. I found the car low on coolant (overflow tank near empty) and coolant cap loose. I filled it, tightened the cap and it started right up with a jump. Drove it home 2 miles. Cannot confirm overheating issue, though can't deny it either.

Basically I would just like to sell it for parts. If you want to use it as a field car fine, though for road use it would need much work. Hard brake lines have been spliced in, so it does have good brakes & pedal pressure, though I wouldn't trust that on the street. Clutch grabs well, car idles ok, but again prev owner stated overheating issues that I did not replicate.

Car has much value in parts. Rear bumper, skirts, interior, doors, and hatch are all nice.

The interior is NOT a "Rare clubsport sport interior." The Club Sport interior, aka "Millpoint Red," had red cloth and black leather. The Sport interior was available with a variety of cloth colors, but nearly all had black leather... unless it was a custom order of some sort.

What you have would be better described as a "black on black Sport interior." So, yeah, I suggest you change that bit. :-D

Good luck with the sale!! :-)

Thanks guys. I'm hoping to sell complete, but will part out if there is enough demand for things.

Will buy the door moldings and the rear bumper, if you do decide to part out...

Packaging the bumper to ship is something I'm hoping to avoid. Will take time to find a box, package, etc. And people always try to factor shipping cost of expensive items to ship into the price for some reason.

Price drop on the whole car complete:

$595

I've bought and sold bumpers and shipped them through grey hound both times. You package it, set up a delivery and drop it off at your nearest transit station. I think it cost me $60-80 each time.

Name your price on the moldings shipped to Seattle, WA?

Alrighty, I'll keep that in consideration. I'll pm you if I decide to part it out.
