yeah, i don't know myself. I believe the sensor plug is connected to the whole harness of the engine bay, where the headlights connections are.

The coolant and washer level sensor is connected to the chassisharness, not the engine harness.

Besides that, you can't connect it, because we don't have a bigger boordcomputer.
The 'other' E36 show 'coolant level low' on the computer screen.

You can leave the sensors in place, unconnected, and check so now and then

How often do you plan on running your engine on low coolant? Seems like an unecessary headache to me. Just check your fluids regularly and keep an eye on your temperature gauge. If it really bothers you, it'd probably be better to wire up a temp warning light or alarm buzzer.

well for the coolant level sensor you can just swap it out of the 318ti radiator cooland resevoir and swap it into the M3 radiator. thats what i did, and it works fine ever since i've done it.

How do you get the right comp ??

If you're gonna swap the entire saloon-dash, I would suggest to use the entire car harnass, with climate control.
Otherwise I wouldn't even try, a waste of time and no advantage in my eyes.
