Default Oil Pan Cleaning

I'm building an M52 for my TI. Dropped the pan in order to get an Achilles baffle welded in. Now I'm wondering how to clean the pan for welding.

I'm guessing brake cleaner is most often used? I was wondering about using dish soap and scrubbing, or wire wheel.

Not sure..... any ideas?

If it’s bad I’ve used srub pad and dish soap. Followed by brake clean. The pan really shouldn’t have anything burnt on

that's what I'll do. Thanks ZEK. I didn't know if soap and water would create trouble for the welder.

It should be fine. Besides any soap residue should come off with the brake clean
