Default Dinan cat-back exhaust for sale ***SOLD****

***********SOLD**********************************

Dinan muffler welded to the factory cat-back exhaust is for sale. It is a complete bolt in piece. I hate to ask this much, but the muffler alone sells for $799 new, without the resonator and cat-back piping. $300 shipped anywhere in the lower 48. Pics here: http://180customs.net/v-web/gallery/BMW

This exhaust system is perfect for someone who wants a little extra performance from free flowing exhaust, but doesn't want to annoy your neighbors. It's a VERY civilized sound, this is the way BMW factory exhaust SHOULD sound.

***Dinan specs***
Free Flow Exhaust
Part #: D660-0373

Price: $799.00

Labor Units: 10.0
Emission Status: 50 State Emission Legal
Peak Horsepower: 158 @ 6000 rpm*
Peak Torque: 155 lb/ft @ 4500 rpm*
Point Value: 3

Dinan's Free Flow Exhaust for the 3 series models provides increased flow for power gains without the excessive noise associated with typical "performance" mufflers. The Dinan exhausts feature rigid and durable muffler cases, manufactured from 20 gauge 304-stainless steel for optimum corrosion resistance. Internally, the systems feature Dinan's Tuned Resonance Chamber technology which provides the optimum balance between maximum power gains and a civilized, yet sporty exhaust note. The Dinan exhaust also provides substantial weight reduction. The aggressive polished stainless steel exhaust tip gives the cars a tasteful performance look as well.

*Dyno results for Engine Software and Free Flow Exhaust.

I'll post a sound clip soon.

Default Dinan

I was wondering how long the exhaust has been in use for and if there is any damage... looks to be in good condition though.

I've had the exhaust on my car for a little over a year. I have no idea how old the exhaust is, but everything is in good condition. The muffler itself is made from 20 gauge 304 stainless, so it will never rust. All non-stainless parts are coated in a protective paint finish. It fits perfect on a Ti, it took several hours at an exhaust shop to get it to fit like it does, now all you need to do is bolt it up and it will look and sound great.

Listed on ebay for $320/shipped. If some from 318ti.org buys it, I'll knock $20 off the price.

It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

No the exhaust plus the chip increase about 20 horses and I think that is for the m42. Read the asterix at the end. Correct me if im wrong.

Default dinan exhaust

Red leather you are right, it's for the chip + exhaust. The Dinan chip increases the M42's power from 137hp and 129 lb/ft to 148hp and 148lb/ft. The exhaust which is a axle back when used together with the chip increases the power to 158 hp and 155 lb/ft. This is all according to thier website http://www.dinanbmw.com/

Yes, you are correct. As stated many times before, most exhaust system give minimal hp/torque gains.
