Yeah, so at the crosswalk on our campus, these guys are always handing out fliers about some guy that I always ignore, but they harass me all the time. I say I'm all set and theyre like 'are you really all set? because now youre just ignorant' and all this BS. Serves them right.
Sorry, but I think that was dumb. As much as you don't like people trying to push something on me they have a right to be there. I have no problem ignoring people like that.

I agree, they do have the right to be there and it was dumb, but when they follow you across the street or down the street and there's really no way around them because all the dorms have to walk through this area to get to class, they harass you even if you've said no 30 minutes earlier. And sometimes they do follow you on to the campus (you may notice the square bench like thing with a statue in the background, which is indeed private property). So they're always border line with conforming to the laws. But from a college student stand point, I found it quite comical. Surfing Break.com, there's definitely dumber crap on there that people will laugh about.
First, I think it's a pussy move to flip the table and run. It would be more fun to accidently tip it over and mess with them when they're pissed. Or better yet distract both of them and someone come up and take their literature. Then what do they have? A table?
I disagree Steven if they are following and harassing. It's fine to stand in one spot and speak your message but not target you. I think the political message is secondary to how it makes them feel to exact power/control over individuals on the street.

Apparently by their actions they're incapable of logically arguing with these people, a sad state of affairs about the college mentality. Enjoy the joke, because it's not the guys with the table who are the asses.

+1 The funnier thing would have been to stand there and convince them that whatever they're advocating is wrong and leave them wondering if they're wasting their time. I guess that wouldn't look so good on video though.
Maybe this works better because I'm asian, but I just look them directly in the eye then tell people like this as point-blank as possible that "I'm sorry, I don't speak a word of English," then move along.
By the time they figure out what's going on, I'm long gone.
Sometimes I'll wait until the first word comes out of their mouth, then throw my hands up in the air, jump in place while screaming and shaking my head then said "This is exactly as annoying as you appear to me. Have a nice day."

I hope that you make your "I don't speak a word of English" without a hint of an accent. Hopefully it leaves them baffled.
I think you should bring your own table and advocate something like "students against annoying political flier hand out dudes". Hey even start your own club.
Just a little follow up, the bright light decided to post the video with his YouTube username that has his last name.. So basically he's getting called into administration for questioning and i've heard rumors of obstruction of justice if he doesn't tell them who was involved?
