It doesn't need park distance control, and hates decadence. It is musclepacked, yet lightly wound. It lets you feel the asphalt and get you going with the smallest touch of the pedal. It provokes, seduces, and demands to be driven hard. It looks, sounds, and smells like performance.

Is there even room in our engine compartments for a turbo? I realize that I have only had my car for less than two months, but I have yet to even see the exhaust manifold

How can that fit on the m42 & m44? I can't order a DASC for a m42 and expect it to fit the m44.

i would buy it but, i already bought the dasc. Im scared of turbos anyway. The whole thing about, the rpms bouncing up out of a sudden.

Well this is how i look at it. If you want your car to be faster off the line and at lower speeds s/c it. If you want a car to still have alot of power at higher speeds turbo it.

Yep, the variable geometry turbos are a godsend for people who dislike lag, altho in all honesty, If I ever did a turbo kit on my car, I would want full boost from 4-7k....thats the one thing that makes me want a turbo setup more than a s/c.....the fact the engine isn't always being stressed by constant boost, with most turbos, you can stay out of the boost if you want...lol

Exhaust manifolds are probably the same on m42s and m44s, while the intake manifold and pulleys are different.

So SC are best at low end? What if i was drivintg 70 and i punched it, or down shift and punch it to reach 110, would i still reach it quicker or will it be the same as if it were stock? Well i THINK what im asking is, does the SC die out of power at a certain speed?

A supercharger will increase performance across the RPM spectrum, at 800 rpm up to 6500. With NickG's kit, I believe, you get an increased redline (at 6800?). An exhaust upgrade and intake upgrade should definately help a super and turbocharger as well.

i like the turbos because they retain good gas mileage along with giving a significant boost in horsepower and torque. the supercharger robs your gas mileage by requiring the crankshaft to produce more torque to spin the s/c pulley. i'd like to hook my car up with a custom turbo setup but i dont think its in my budget for a few years....
