He said that a faulty idle control valve can cause MAF fault codes. Since my ICV was held together by bailing wire I decided to replace it along with my MAF. I'm not 100% sure if this MAF is bad or good. I think it was the ICV causing a MAF fault code. Therefore I might have a good MAF. If anyone thinks they might need a MAF let me know. Mine had itty bitty cracks that opened under power, down shifting, braking, changes in the phase of the moon etc. It was only 25 bucks or so from the dealer, Its almost worth buying as I suspect they will quit making them when the M44 is out of production.
