Default interesting story

this isnt 318ti specific or anything but just an interesting story i found QUITE humerous.

first of all, i know this fellow named early yu (he is chinese). he thinks he knows a lot about cars. about 2 months ago...my sister backed into a mailbox and dented the top of her trunk. this chinese fellow claimed he could fix it. well he drilled a hole in the trunk, body filled the hole, and painted it with spray touch up paint. the paint job sucked...didnt match the car at all...and he painted a rectangle about 2 feet by 2 feet when only about 4inches by 4 inches needed painting....well my sister had a huge grey rectangle on her trunk (her car is white). so basically this kid sucks at painting cars.

anyway....here is the good stuff. he has a 3000gt...and the day before the first day of school, he decided to paint his WHOLE car blue (it was originally a light brown/desert sand/champagne). he painted his whole car blue...with black racing stripes. he painted the whole car with blue spray touch up paint...and he had no clear coat. his car looks like it got shot up by a paintball gun! he claimes that he ran out of paint...but trust me, that wasnt the only thing that went wrong. he has like 3 dimensional droplets of paint that have solidified on his car...the coat is not even at all...and with no clear coat....his whole car feels like sand paper now!

you would have thought this kid would have learend when he first painted my sisters car...

and by the way...my sisters car just got back from macco today...looks nice!

ha sounds like my friend dan. he painted his ford tempo "grass green". he took it a step further though. he bought rustoleum from the dollar store, got some thinner and a cheap spray gun off ebay and painted his car. it could have been much worse, but i dont think he thinned the paint enough and was covered with orange peel. but all in all, painting and pretty much all body work takes ALOT of patience and technique. i have only very basic skills at painting and its a good challenge for me to get even mediocre results.
