Do you have an computer and cruise? __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-30-2012, 02:13 AM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: Portland Or Posts: 2,666 | It looks the rear skirt has been re-painted. The contrast strip should go around the back. Otherwise it looks like my Active. It does have cruise and sunroof. I'm not sure if it has a computer though. How would I find out The clock has a button that says S/R, but does nothing when pressed The temp reads -40 all the time The rear skirt looks to be original paint/color | | | 03-30-2012, 11:56 PM | #7 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Interior pics | | | 03-31-2012, 12:02 AM | #8 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Interior pics | | | 03-31-2012, 12:05 AM | #9 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Active. -40F. You are probably missing the temp sensor in your brake duct. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-31-2012, 12:14 AM | #10 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Dash Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Active. -40F. I had the car inspected and they said it needed brakes, but I haven't noticed any braking issues while driving. | | | 03-31-2012, 12:18 AM | #11 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,356 | Quote: Originally Posted by SSupa Is it possible that also has to do with the brake light on the dash. That sensor is brake pad. Could be a bad sensor too. You'll be able to stop but once you get to metal you will score your rotors. The two are unrelated. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | 03-31-2012, 12:43 AM | #12 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Interior pics | | | 03-31-2012, 01:03 AM | #13 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | Quote: Originally Posted by 1996 328ti Brake warning lights are generally worn brake pad or low fluid. I already bought rotors and pads for all 4 corners from a former ti owner. Come to think of it, the car came with a set of pads (F&R). I only have one sensor, so I gotta research how many sensors I need for a complete brake job. | | | 03-31-2012, 01:08 AM | #14 | Member Join Date: Jan 2012 Location: Chicago Posts: 39 | So whats the final verdict? Front left, rear right. <I think>. __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S • 2016 M235i www.bmwcca.org | | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
