Default OBC issue

Hi there guys,

First of all let me introduce myself.. i'm chris i live in South Africa and i have just recently purchased myself an E46 BMW 318ti..

I seem to be having a problem with the OBC.. now excuse my ignorance i'm not too clued up with these cars it is my first BMW

First of all i should be asking did all the E46's come out with OBC? if so i can't seem to get mine working. Before i picked the car up the battery had to be replaced and since then i haven't been able to change the time or access anything but trip distance.

My model doesn't have an OBC button at the end of the indicator. although it does have a trip reset which works fine on the left of the panel. The button on the right of the panel seems to do nothing when pressed. The car doesn't even show the time only 4 lines on the cluster and radio. Although when you push the right button the radio shows AM and thats it?

Does anyone have a clue how to get the panel working does it need to be reset or what could be the issue..

Thanks A lot..

Chris
