Default Dash swap help?

Has anyone done a dash swap? I am only swapping the dash not the heating and air conditioning. I was just wondering if the lights were plug and play or if the wiring needed to be worked on? any help???

There are lots of threads about dash swaps, search the words "dash swap" and see what turns up.

yea i dont think there is a write up yet. Just a lot of requests for one. You might be able to find a little info. There has been a lot of discussion but i haven't found any hard facts/info.

so I just took off the ti dash and the lights are not plug and play, but they are not hard to make work. I think I will do a write up with picks while I am doing this swap. Only thing is I am keeping the ti heater and ac parts I am just doing the dash.

Lost.

m3 dash = all E36 dashes... except M's have a slightly diff cluster.

only a 4dr dash will work... i know its been done, so look around.

like everyone says i think your best bet is to do a sedan dash. Seems like a huge headache to do an m3 dash. It just depends on how much work and modification you want to do. Anythings possible with enough time and money.

I remember a bunch about this a while ago.

I assume you want the M3 dash; get an M3 sedan (4-door) dash. Some stuff has to be monkeyed with a bit (lights apparently) but the major mounting point hit at least.

Swapping the console seems like a good idea as well...
