I just need one because the one I have now the corner is broken and the switch keeps falling. It’s annoying because when it falls you need to take off the shifter boot to retrieve it. | | | 09-05-2018, 01:48 PM | #2 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 968 | I have perhaps two silly questions. Is the part NLA? It was inexpensive enough. Could you repair or restore the corner with, say, a metal-filled epoxy? | | | 09-09-2018, 01:37 AM | #3 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2018 Location: Yokohama, Japan Posts: 19 | Quote: Originally Posted by John Firestone I have perhaps two silly questions. I’m not exactly sure about epoxying it. I’ll give it a shot | | | 09-09-2018, 11:03 PM | #4 | Senior Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: Bremerhaven, Germany Posts: 968 | If it were my car, I would order a replacement, as it is inexpensive and will permanently go out of stock some day. I believe it also made of plastic, a material that rarely if every improves with age. The first three hits on the part number using duckduckgo are to three firms that claim it is in stock, ships in four days or they have 4 left in stock. | | | 10-20-2018, 10:37 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Mar 2018 Location: Texas Posts: 42 | Did you find the part; if not, I have the two from a 318ti... | | | 10-22-2018, 12:42 AM | #6 | Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2003 Location: Greenville, SC Posts: 9,310 | __________________ ...steven BMW CCA #146825 1995 BMW 318ti Club Sport • 1996 BMW 328ti • 2003 MINI Cooper S www.bmwcca.org | | | 10-24-2018, 03:12 AM | #7 | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2018 Location: Yokohama, Japan Posts: 19 | i did find one. i just bought one from my local bmw dealership. | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Thread Tools | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
