They are in overall GOOD condition but the brake dust and some moron (prolly a local yocal car dealer) just sprayed 2 of them with silver paint... looks also as if they were NEVER cleaned.. so i have been using Easy-Off HD Oven cleaner.. stacking the wheels in groups of 2 and spray the SH*T out them and then hosing them off in different time intervals. they are looking amazing now... I Am buyin 800,1200,2000 grit SP & mothers polish tomorrow and starting the dredded task of polishing on friday. Now my question is... should i polish the lips, THEN get them mounted and balanced and THEN paint? so they dont f*ck up my painting? or just do all the work then have them mounted? i have seen a couple of e36s wit these wheels but never polished lips and gold. I will Post pictures of the wheels progress with in the next hour. | | | 10-21-2008, 02:46 PM | #3 | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2005 Location: NJ Posts: 1,625 | I love classic BBS basket weaves! FTW every time... 16x8 is a great size, too. YES, polish the lips - get spacers - & some low profile tires for a nice stretch! its all about the stance, man.. if it doesn't sit right, its not worth getting into. this is what you wanna achieve, IMO (without staggering them, though).
