Mudflaps are a personal style choice. I am considering installing some.
But improperly installed can cause more trouble than protection. Should be soft rubber allowing flex therefore eliminating noise transfer to the body and breakage in cold climates.The flap must be trimmed and/ or postioned flush with the inner fender lip. Any over hang catches and holds more dirt-salt-and debris than it deflects.
