At least my wheel is leather wrapped though... I also have to convert it to a 5 speed. I can't wait to hear your exhaust did you get that clip yet? | | | 12-04-2010, 10:22 PM | #47 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | No sound clip yet, will try to get that going. __________________ | | | 12-12-2010, 01:13 AM | #48 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | My coils finally arrived giving me a chance to finally install my RSM's and Style 5s'. $#ty picture but I will have some more next week. __________________ Last edited by 3.2TI; 12-17-2010 at 07:50 PM. | | | 12-12-2010, 03:55 AM | #49 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Oakland Posts: 187 | How does the ride quality compare to the stock sport suspension? | | | 12-12-2010, 04:02 AM | #50 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | Night and day difference. My OEM's were not handling the weight change and shifting felt horrible. __________________ | | | 12-12-2010, 04:25 AM | #51 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Oakland Posts: 187 | That looks like it sits just right, what suspension did you use? Stock rears and something else for fronts or? | | | 12-12-2010, 04:40 AM | #52 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | Koni full adjustable coilovers, rears are not height adjustable only the fronts. __________________ | | | 12-12-2010, 05:18 AM | #53 | Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2010 Location: Oakland Posts: 187 | We do a lot of Mini Coopers at work and we always put the Koni yellow sports on the S models and the FSD Gold Koni's on the base models... Do your shocks have the adjustment deals on top? | | | 12-12-2010, 10:07 AM | #54 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | Yes they have adjustable damper and these are the krome edition. __________________ | | | 12-24-2010, 12:14 AM | #55 | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Montreal, QC Posts: 15 | The car looks really good!! good job on it | | | 12-26-2010, 12:45 AM | #56 | Member Join Date: Apr 2010 Location: Bradenton, FL Posts: 49 | Clean swap! A 3.73 way too short. That's why first gear is all wheelspin. You need a taller diff. The best choice in my opinion is the 3.25 off an E28 535i 5-speed. You will need to swap out the rear cover and you already know about the axles. Are you using the stock rear subframe and control arms? How about the brakes? I am in part collection phase of my swap. I am almost ready to get started. I plan to document and take pictures of the whole process and post it here. __________________ Pierre 96 318ti (S52), 97 318ti, 95 318ti, 69 2002 (M20), 74 2002tii, 76 530i (3.3), 79 323i, 81 528i, 90 325i, 91 318is, 97 Z3, 2002 330i, 2002 R1150RT.
