I believe the socket for the A/M switch is a 5 wire socket and would be found in the console area. The only manual i have is the Bentley for e36 cars, and its not always particularly helpful due to the differences between the ti and regular e36 cars __________________ '74 2002ti (Departed) '82 320is (Departed) '87 535i (+360k Departed :'( ) '88 535is (200k en-route to being reitred) '98 318ti (150k Active) '04 330ci (Newest Member) | | | 08-03-2012, 01:12 PM | #7 | Senior Member Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Miami, Florida Posts: 483 | Those look 100% aftermarket. BMW Factory doesn't use electrical tape, ... Maybe a dealer accessory. __________________ | | | 08-03-2012, 06:01 PM | #8 | Member Join Date: Oct 2009 Location: Louisiana Posts: 56 | sure looks like the factory pre-wire phone plug to me - I ran down this same rabbit hole 3+ months ago and asked same question ....
