Default Your Car Aint Cool

Saw another TI on the road yesterday (my first sighting since we got ours), it was purple. It was all covered in road grime and looked like it had not been cleaned in months, anyway the car looked ordinary, I told my Girl when I gave Her the TI that what seperates the cool cars from the uncool is how clean it is, unclean = not cool, clean shiny and sparkleing = cool.

Your car aint Cool If The Chrome Dont Shine!

How anal are my felow TIers, how clean and how often do you clean your cars?

Lol...
I try to keep my car clean all the time too...
I noticed the same thing when i saw a car JUST LIKE MINE...except is was SUPER DIRTY. My friends and my brother were telling me that mine looks so much better just because its so much cleaner.
...
Let me fix that quote..."Your car aint Cool If The GLOSS don't Shine! hehe...
Sorry...I'm anti Chrome on my car.

Let's see...I'm really anal about my car. I try to keep ALL the swirl marks off my car. (Especially since it's black.) and...I try to wash it every week. Wax every month.

but no one can see it since it's been in the garage "on blocks" for over a month now, lol

I feel like resurrecting this thread today....

I clean my car whenever I have time. When I'm not at work, school, using the bathroom, eating, sleeping, or on the computer; I'm working on the car. Usually once every 2 days. I'm always detailing something. Just yesterday, I thoroughly cleaned out the grill with a turtle wax scratch remover. It's now glowing!

I usually cleaned my car once every 2 weeks or after driving in the rain, this past year was raining constantly up here so I think I washed it about 6 times the whole spring/summer/fall before I put it away, seemed kinda pointless to wash it when it would be just as dirty again the next day

I wash it when it's dirty and when I have time. Wax when it needs it, strip & detail at least once a year. When I was younger (and only had one vehicle) it was pretty much every weekend to wash, and wax every other.

I'll always make time for maintenance stuff (oil changes, etc) though.

You're welcome to come to NY and wash my car, it's dirty as hell. So bad, I'm afraid to come to any NY/NJ meet.

I wash mine when the weather is looking good. I hate it when I wash it and then it rains like a day or two later. So when the sun will be shining for a few days I will wash it.

In the winter I like to wash it at least every 2 weeks to get the salt off. In the summer I wash it whenever it's dirty and a nice enough day to wash. Unfortunately my car still isn't cool. =(
