I know the water pump from the dealer comes with the gasket and the one on www.bavauto.com comes with the gasket. | | | 05-03-2006, 01:44 AM | #3 | Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Vineland, NJ Posts: 47 | Quote: Originally Posted by madfronter The water pump should come with the gasket. Just make sure the new pump has a metal impeller! __________________ Pete N | | | 05-03-2006, 08:52 PM | #5 | Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Vineland, NJ Posts: 47 | OK! While the coolant is drained it might not be a bad idea to replace some of the rubber radiator fittings, as they tend to crack over time. Does anybody have the part number for these? Here's a good writeup (though the M42/M44 looks a little different): http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/tech...water-pump.htm __________________ I scream, you scream, we all scream for ZOMBIES. | | | 05-04-2006, 03:15 AM | #9 | Member Join Date: Jun 2005 Location: Vineland, NJ Posts: 47 | I see.. My little ti is over 155,000 miles, but I took it to the BMW on november for service and they replaced a whole lot of things. I recently replaced the radiator and the hoses, checked the belts and they looked like new (I am thinking they replaced them in the BMW, I don't remember and I would have to read the documents they gave me with all the work they did). What do you mean exactly when you say radiator fittings? And I used the tutorial @ pelican parts to replace the radiator and other stuff. Thanls for your suggestion! | | | | Currently Active Users Viewing This Thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | |
